The Harry Potter series is one of my most favourite things ever. I’ve read all the books and watched all the movies (multiple times, I might add), and it never gets old. Sometimes it’s very easy to get so caught up in the things happening around us, that we don’t stop to think about just how little influence we have in the grand scheme of things. Sometimes all we do is think about how wonderful things will be once we achieve this or accomplish that, and oftentimes deep down we know that it won’t be that easy, but we cling to the ideas with our characteristic stubborn optimism
Around this time, it’s very common to see people set goals and make plans to make sure the year is as fulfilling as it can be. Almost everybody makes some form of commitment to improve an aspect of their lives over the course of the new year, and that sounds wonderful. But how many of us actually follow through on the new year resolutions we set for ourselves?
